HPA Goes Oily: Why Young Living?

Hey friends! I'm so glad you're here today. If you've been reading over the past few months, then you know that my family made the decision earlier this summer to kick toxins to the curb! I'm on a mission for my family to live healthier, cleaner, and safer. We are doing so through the use of Young Living.

But, why Young Living? There are so many other companies out there with oils. In fact, I can buy essential oils at the grocery store, or anywhere online- right?

Today, I'm sharing why I chose Young Living and why it took me 9 months of research before I jumped on the oily bandwagon with YL.
The vast majority of essential oils on the market today are only suitable for cosmetics and perfumes. The reason YL's oils are so different is that they produce a therapeutic grade oil. These oils are a result of YL's strict, detailed method for producing the oils to obtain the purest plant essences. Young Living calls this their Seed to Seal process. Every step from planting to bottling is detailed and controlled. This Seed to Seal process is the main reason that I chose Young Living.

I hands down love the fact that I have found a company who controls every step of the process when providing me with the oils that we have come to love.

Here's a bit of what that means:
Seed to Seal®

Seed- Potent essential oils come from plant species that have been authenticated by Young Living experts. Species certification involves scientific research, field study, university partnerships, and on-site planting certification.
Cultivate-Through cultivation on Young Living farms located around the globe, Young Living has mastered the creation of pure, potent essential oils. The company takes this knowledge around the world to co-op farms to certify that these farms’ growing processes meet Young Living’s strict quality standards.
Distill- Young Living’s proprietary low-temperature, low-pressure steam distillation process ensures that the beneficial plant compounds in every batch of essential oil remain uncompromised during the extraction process. Cold pressing and resin tapping methods are also used for select oils.

Test- Each essential oil must pass Young Living’s stringent testing to ensure the optimal bioactive natural compounds are present. Young Living uses its own internal labs, in addition to third-party audits, to verify that international purity and potency standards are met and surpassed.

Seal- Young Living completes the Seed to Seal® process by carefully sealing each bottle of essential oil before shipping them to members worldwide.

Young Living is more expensive than other brands and oils you can find at Whole Foods or Amazon.com because of its therapeutic grade. Aromatherapy has become quite a fad and an ever-growing number of marketers, seeing its money-making potential, have jumped on the essential oil bandwagon looking for an easy way to make a lot of money.

They're finding innovative ways to sell anything they can call aromatherapy. Most of these oils are cheap imitations thatare created by adding synthetic chemicals to create a fragrance. Yes, I said synthetic. (That means FAKE!) The Seed to Seal is the complete opposite of synthetic and furthermore, Young Living EOs are beyond organic. They do not use pesticides or chemicals EVER, not even on their seeds! YL does not claim their products to be organic, because no essential oil can! The FDA does not certify or grade oils so any you see making those claims is simply using the word. They did not have to do anything to earn it.

If you buy a cheaper oil, chances are you're not getting a pure essential oil. You must remember that aromatherapy is not just about the smell. The $5.00 to $10.00 bottle of Peppermint you purchase at the health food store might smell fine to you, but there is no way it will provide you with therapeutic benefits of Young Living's peppermint oil.

Another problem that occurs when you purchase a cheaper oil is many of these oils have an expiration date. You will never find an expiration date on any of Young Living's bottles! While some of these so-called aromatherapy products present a pleasing fragrance, cover unpleasant odors and may have some limited value in relaxation, they have no real value for true aromatherapy. In some cases, these so-called products can create serious health problems from allergic reactions to irritations to chemical burns, and they should NEVER be ingested.

There are at least 200 different companies marketing essential oils in North America. However, since there are many grades of essential oils, most essential oils available in the United States are of the lowest grade and quality. Only when using YLs 100% pure-therapeutic-grade oil will you see significant benefits. One of my team members tried 9 or 10 different essential oil brands before committing to Young Living!

Young Living produces superior high-quality oils and their purity is unparalleled. I can honestly say my family is working towards living a nontoxic life by being members of Young Living.

The best way to get started using essential oils is with the purchase of the Premium Starter Kit. When you sign up, you will want to sign up as a wholesale member. By signing up wholesale, you will receive a 24% discount on all purchases made from Young Living! When I was researching companies, I knew that I did not want to join a company that required me to make a monthly purchase. Once you purchase the premium starter kit, you are not required to make another purchase! However, I know that you'll want to, and Young Living has a very affordable way of doing so. Again, you'll always have the 24% discount, but when you purchase through their Essential Reward program, you'll be able to earn points back that you can use toward future oil purchases and you can even get oils for FREE!

If you have questions about Young Living, I would love to answer them! You can send me an email (elainewelte@gmail.com) or leave me a comment below. Should you purchase your PSK, you'll also receive a Happy Oilers handbook, and access to a multitude of Facebook groups to help you learn about essential oils and how you can incorporate them in to your current lifestyle.
